To contact the Selayar Island desk, send a WhatsApp message to +62 811-3941-4563 or email bd@juaraholding.com. Give your dates, group size and the question you need answered. The desk is a request service attached to a travel guide: it holds no rooms, boats or schedules, and only a written offer binds anyone.
How do you contact the Selayar Island desk?
There are two channels and no others. Any other number or address claiming to be this desk is not ours.
| Channel | Address | Works well for |
|---|---|---|
| +62 811-3941-4563 | A short question, or a follow-up to something already under way | |
| bd@juaraholding.com | A longer plan, a group request, or a source correction with links |
Selayar Island is an English-language travel guide under Juara Holding Group, with a request desk for readers planning a trip. Our About page explains who prepares the guide. The desk is not a resort, a dive centre, a tour operator, an airline or a government body. It cannot issue a ticket, change a ferry sailing or tell you what a captain will decide tomorrow. It also is not an emergency service, so in an emergency call local services first and write to us afterwards if we can help with anything else.
Many questions already have an answer on the Selayar Island FAQ, so it is worth a minute there first. For a ferry timetable, a report in Rubrik.co.id points readers to ASDP Selayar or its call centre on 021191, and that is a quicker route than asking us.
What should you include in your question?
A useful message answers the questions the desk would otherwise have to ask. On this island, the details that change an answer are the following:
- Exact dates, and how far they can move. Wikipedia says that as of 2026 only FlyJaya flies scheduled services to the island, while Trip.com also lists Wings Air and Rome2Rio names Air Connect, so one free day can decide whether a plan works. If you hold a ticket, name the airline and flight.
- How you plan to arrive. Sulawesi.com, a tour operator's guide, says the crossing from Bira takes two and a half hours and that the afternoon sailing is regularly cancelled in rough weather. Tell us if you are counting on a same-day connection.
- The month and the coast you have in mind. Wikipedia reports big waves on the west side from October to March and on the east side from April to September. A question about a beach or a boat cannot be answered without the month.
- Group size and room needs. The regency's master plan says most hotels are small. Say how many rooms and beds you need, and whether you would split between properties.
- Diving plans. Give your certification level and number of logged dives. Selayar Dive Resort says its season runs from October to the end of April, so any resort-based dive question also depends on your dates.
- Passport basics only if relevant. Indonesia's immigration service says the Visitor Visa is single entry for a 30-day stay and that passports need six months' validity from arrival. Your nationality and passport expiry month are enough for a general pointer. Eligibility is for the immigration service to decide, and nothing we say is legal advice.
You do not need to fill in all of it. One clear question with dates beats a long message with none. Here is the kind of message that gets a useful answer:
Two adults, 12 to 19 March, flying into Makassar. We can move the dates by two days. We would like three nights in Benteng, then a beach by road if the sea allows it. Not divers. Which side of the island makes more sense in March, and what should we confirm before booking anything?
Compare that with "Is Selayar nice? Send details." The second message can only produce another question, and each round costs you time, especially if you are planning close to your dates. If you already found something on this site and want to go further, paste the page address so the desk knows what you have read.
What should you not send?
Nothing the desk does at the first stage needs sensitive data. Please leave these out of the first message and out of any chat:
- Card numbers, security codes, bank logins or one-time codes.
- Passwords of any kind.
- Photos or scans of passports, identity cards or visas.
- Medical records. If a health matter affects a trip, say that a need exists and ask what the operator requires, then deal with the operator or your doctor directly.
- Private details of other travellers who have not agreed to you sharing them.
- Money. Do not pay anything on the strength of a chat message or this website alone.
If anyone using this desk's name asks for payment without a written offer, stop and email bd@juaraholding.com before you do anything else. The same goes for a message that pressures you to pay today so a room or boat is "held". We hold nothing, so that claim cannot come from us.
What happens after you write?
The steps below describe the usual order. We do not publish a reply time, so plan with a margin and avoid leaving a request until the day before you travel.
- We read the message. If something essential is missing, usually dates, we ask for it.
- We answer what we can. That may be a plain answer with its source, a pointer to the airline, ferry company or property that actually decides, or a statement that nobody has published the answer.
- If you want to go further, we look into it. A reply saying something looks possible is not a confirmation. Rooms, boats, schedules and sea conditions belong to other people and to the weather.
- Anything bookable comes as a written offer. The offer states the price, any fee, the payment terms and the company that contracts with you.
- You decide. You can compare it with going direct, ask for changes, or say no. Until you accept a written offer, nothing is agreed.
Sometimes the honest reply is that we cannot help. That can happen when a request depends on a service that has stopped, or when the dates leave no margin. Saying so early is more useful to you than a hopeful answer that falls apart at the port.
Is there a fee?
Writing to the desk is not an agreement and commits you to nothing. Requests through the desk can lead to a paid booking, so we have a commercial interest, and you should read our advice with that in mind. Any fee, the price, the payment terms and the company that contracts with you are stated in writing in an offer before you agree. The site itself is not a contracting party. Our disclaimer says this in full.
When an offer reaches you, check these points before you accept:
- The legal name of the company you would be contracting with.
- What the total covers and what it leaves out, such as transfers, meals or park fees.
- When payment falls due and how much of it can be refunded.
- What happens if a flight, ferry or boat does not run.
If any of that is missing or unclear, ask before you pay. A good offer can survive a few questions.
Can you send a source correction?
Yes, and we would like them. Island information ages quickly, and some of what this guide relies on is old or undated. Email is the better channel because links survive it. To make a correction easy to act on, send:
- The address of the page and the exact sentence you are questioning.
- What you believe is correct, and since when.
- A link to a public source, with its date.
- Who you are in relation to it: resident, traveller, or the operator or agency concerned.
Sources about Selayar often disagree, and this guide states the disagreement when it matters. A new source may therefore be added beside an old one and not replace it. If you run a property or service named here, a dated statement on your own website is the easiest thing for us to cite. We cannot promise to change a page, but we do read what you send.
Which quick answers might save you a message?
How do I contact the Selayar Island desk?
Send a WhatsApp message to +62 811-3941-4563 or an email to bd@juaraholding.com. Those are the only two channels. Include your dates, your group size and your question.
Can I email the Selayar Island desk instead of using WhatsApp?
Yes. Email suits longer plans, group requests and source corrections, because links and detail survive it. WhatsApp suits short questions and follow-ups.
Does the desk own boats, rooms or tours?
No. The desk holds no boats, rooms, tours or schedules. It is a request service attached to a travel guide under Juara Holding Group.
Does a reply mean my trip is booked?
No. Only a written offer that you accept binds anyone. A reply that says something looks possible is not a reservation.
Should I send my passport or card details?
No. Do not send card numbers, codes, passwords, or scans of a passport or identity card by chat or email at this stage.
